Muscle-car "Dodge Charger" sample of 2009-2010 is no accident so eagerly awaited by all fans of powerful engines. The new rear-wheel drive five-passenger sedan, which concern "Daimler Chrysler" will be officially launched to deliver to Russia only in the second half of 2010, continues the best traditions of their predecessors. The first generation of middle-class sedans Dodge Charger won the hearts of all lovers of more powerful engines in the "golden sixtieth" of the past century. A modern history of the muscle-car Dodge Charger started in 2006. It was then that the world-famous Dodge Charger got their sports, but rather an aggressive appearance, was equipped with a 340-horsepower engine and a new equipment cabin.

The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 (starting at $46,660, with a lower-cost Super Bee version starting at $41,495 plus destination) uses the new 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8, boasting 470 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. A new active valve exhaust system allows the cylinder cutoff system to engage over a wider range, increasing gas mileage (by 25% on the highway), while an active intake manifold and high-lift camshaft with cam phasing provides maximum low-end torque for impressive standing starts while optimizing high-end power. The hood is functional (as predicted by Allpar) — instead of a scoop (which is more about looking good than performance according to Gilles) it relieves negative pressure under the hood which helps cornering at speed. The new engine is all about torque, which is moved “way, way down” in the torque curve. At the lower rpm range, there’s an 80-90 lb-ft torque improvement.

The Dodge Charger 1970 review featured in the film “The Fast and the Furious.” This incredible automobile was available in three types. The R/T, 500 and the base. The base has 145 horsepower, and the 500 had a 318 standard or the 383 two-or four-barrel carb. To improve the aesthetics of this car, manufacturers introduced the front bumper made from chrome. This surrounded the taillight. Bench seats came as a standard, with high buckets as an optional extra. The center console could fold down for extra convenience on the R/T and 500 models. The gear shifter was changed to a piston grip, and the ignition was now found on the steering column. Motorists could select a single longitudinal stripe or bumble bee stripes. Owners fell in love with the car’s performance and speed. The downside was that it guzzled gas at a rate of knots. Only a small amount of 440s or Hemis were sold in that year. Less than one percent of all the Dodge Chargers of that year. Sales of the 1968 version increased dramatically due to the restyling of this model. The new design, labeled the Coke bottle look made this car very pleasing to the eye. It was considered to be one of the most aesthetically pleasing cars of its era. The R/T was then created and was manufactured with heavy-duty brakes and suspension. It was issued with a 440 Magnum. The 4-speed manual was an optional extra. Manufacturers were in two regarding making the yearly styling changes and wanting to leave things as they were. Eventually, small changes were made to the grille. The Dodge Charger 1970 review reports that the car was considered to be a regular sized sports car with jet age aerodynamic styling. These changes had no adverse effect on performance. The curved sides gave the feel of an aircraft cockpit for drivers.

The original Dodge Charger had been somewhat of a failure for Chrysler. It sold in large numbers to the public, but remained without a win in racing. The year 1969 was the time Chrysler and Dodge decided to pull out all the stops and turn the Challenger into a formidable racing machine. What emerged was the Dayton model that looked like a mix between an airplane and the original Charger. This #6 car for sale through Canepa Design holds a special place in the racing record books, being the first car to break the 200mph mark. The car led that race for over 100 laps until another car put it into a spin knocking it out of the race. These 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona models are very rare and sought after by collectors. Even fewer were built with the Hemi engine such as this car and none have the same race history. If you would like to own a piece of history than expect to pay over six figures when this car hits the block.
